Hottest new restaurants to try in March

Dear Lilly
Dear Lilly is the newest venture from Ashley Sutton, the same designer behind the award-winning interiors of Iron Fairies and Yojimbo. Marble hearts and little scribbles of love are stamped across the floors while ornamental flower bouquets sway from a kinetic ceiling. A whole wall is lined with vintage perfume bottles and other antique trinkets. Everything from the velvet-clad chairs and the white-marbled tables to the twirly chandeliers and the costumed staff is reminiscent of something straight out of Beauty and the Beast. The bar features vintage French cocktails inspired by the 1920s, garnished with edible flowers (as well as sprigs of lavender and all that jazz). The menu is contemporary western with a focus on the Mediterranean, with highlights such as the slow-cooked octopus with roasted pepper salsa, as well as some classic Italian dishes such as the Puttanesca pappardelle pasta. It's definitely the prime date spot of the month, so its no surprise reservations to the place are already packed to the brim. Shop 4010, 4/F, IFC Mall, 8 Finance Street, Central, 2771 6060;

10 Shanghai
We've been waiting for 10 Shanghai and it did not disappoint, from the beautiful marble entrance and old Shanghai interiors down to the homely Huaiyang cuisine. Best for family quality time and fancy date nights - read more of what we have to say here.

This artisanal bakery and café is brought to you by the former executive pastry chef of the Four Seasons, Grégoire Michaud - and it's not a wonder given how most items, from his iconic sourdough bread to our personal pastry favourite (the croissant) fly right off the shelf as soon as they're out of the oven. Already brimming with queues two weeks into their soft opening, Bakehouse, we'd say, is one of the few worth the wait.

Tai Hang newcomer Elementary wowed us with their fried food offerings - particularly ther fried cauliflower, as well as corn croquettes - with plus points awarded to the chill vibe. See our review of Elementary here

Cantonese pop star Hins Cheung, together with Hopewell Holdings is bringing back the former Nathan Road restaurant Juno as Junon. Located in Wan Chai, the new fine dining restaurant can be enjoyed three ways - via The Bar, Bistro Junon for the a la carte menu, or at La Scene du Junon, the main dining area. Along with a contemporary French menu and old glamour-inspired interiors, guests are also treated to nightly live performances.  2/F Wu Chung House, 213 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai, 2808 0882;

Wa Theater Restaurant
Over in Sai Kung's Pak Sha Wan, Wa Theater is proper fine-dining with beautiful views of the mountains, boat and sea. This high-end French-Japanese restaurant features fresh ingredients flown in daily from Japan, with a menu in the style of a theatre performance rundown - hence the restaurant's name.
