New brunches for meat lovers
Date Published : 12 Feb 2018

Weekends are the time to relax&unwind or to party like crazy. Either way, you can't miss brunch, cos hey, its a mix of all of those isn't it? All these brunch menus left and right with their garden-y flavours and light eats, but when you're hungover, all you really want is a nice juicy steak with all the trimmings...Here are five new beefy brunches for the meat lovers out there.

Porterhouse
Porterhouse has a new brunch menu with an antipasti buffet offering different cold-cuts and cheese, a seafood station with oysters and lobsters and a dessert station with a chocolate fondue… Did we mention the carving station? You will not be able to resist sinking your teeth into these carnivore's choices of Spanish Iberico suckling pig, grilled sausages, and their wagyu rib-eye roast beef. And for sake of all things brunch, pair your steak with a full English brekkie? 7/F California Tower, 30-36 D’Aguilar Street, Lan Kwai Fong, 2522 6366; porterhousehk.com

Gaucho
Gaucho is a family go-to for many, so meatlovers will be glad to know that they've revamped their brunch menu with some amazing new dishes. We love the ceviche starters and the rib-eye with chimichurri. But they don’t only do steak good, if you're more of a white-meat type of person, their grilled chicken and their oven-baked sea bass is divine. 5/F, LHT Tower, 31 Queen's Road Central, 2386 8090; gauchorestaurants.comMEATS
We're hyped about the new brunch menu offered in MEATS. Their set brunch menu includes starters to share, a main, a side of fried rice, dessert and a drink (beer or wine). Their main options feature brunchy- favourites of chicken waffle and meatier options of hanger steak. There's a meat lovin' kid's menu in case you still want to spend some valuable family time. Gough’s on Gough
A proper Sunday roast under the sun, technically, that's brunch in a way right? That’s exactly what the main star of Gough’s on Gough’s brunch is, a roast sirloin of Devonshire beef with all the trimmings (yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and vegetables). The delectable main is preceded by a selection of seafood including French oysters and Madagascan Prawn as well as a course of cured beef heart with slow-cooked chicken terrine and homemade piccalilli. We just hope you’ll still have some room for dessert and drinks after all that.

11 Westside
Traditional Mexican tacos have a great focus on amazing meat. 11 Westside is a new contender to the taco food scene in Hong Kong, and they've recently introduced a Mexican brunch. The a la carte menu includes some amazingly authentic tacos including their popular pork carnitas or their (chicken) pollo asado. And to really get into the brunchy mood, they've got an eggy huevos divorciados featuring a crispy tortilla topped with sunny side eggs, beans and the works, with an extra topping option of steak (more meat please). Their free flow option includes cocktails, beers and wines. 1/F The Hudson, 11 Davis St., Kennedy Town, 3996 7754; 11westside.com
