Hong Kong's best chai lattes
One of the Kardashian sisters hailed it her drink of choice, and we can't say we disagree about it being a great beverage.
We just won't get it from that coffee chain.
That said, there are a handful of cafes around town that offer a good chai latte - balanced in terms of spice, not too sweet, just the perfect degree of cozy. While you'll likely find more authentic options at Indian restaurants, the ones on this list are served at cafes, and make for decent alternatives.
Served with the tea leaves immersed in steamed soy milk, usually with a pastry bite on the side, we like La Station’s chai latte for its fine balance of flavours – of chai tea, cinnamon, a dash of sweet, and a nicely balanced, spicy kick. We had this twice and on both occasions they tasted differently: the first time in a takeaway cup, with a jolting spice and gingery kick. The second time - when we stayed in - the flavours were milder. We preferred it strong, although the mild edition was pretty good on its own. That pistachio biscuit on the side was on point, too.
