We tried the craziest burger challenges in Hong Kong right now

To celebrate the coming Rugby Sevens, quite a couple of burger places are doing some special burger challenges. We know that one of our editors, George, can eat like a truck! So we've pit him against the craziest burger challenges available this month...

Butcher’s Club Burger
Butcher’s Club Burger is doing a “Triple Happiness Challenge” where eaters have to finish a mega cheesy burger with THREE stacks of burger patties, a side of their duck fries, and a pint of beer, all within seven minutes.
George was close with this one. The burger was easy but the last bit of fries was tough. With just two fries left, he failed the challenge by only a few seconds. Unfortunate, but we were told that he is the current record-holder, since no one has finished the challenge. So if you’re up to it, we challenge you to beat his record!
Result: FAILED (nearly won)

Azure Restaurant Slash Bar
Azure Bar Slash Restaurant is doing a burger challenge that includes a gigantic burger with a 600g patty, a packet of seasoned chips, and two huge pints of beer.
The burger was heavy and the fries were absolutely amazing. George started out really well, finishing half the burger in less than 3 minutes. But around the 10 minute mark, he began to give up. The burger had a few bites left, but it wasn’t enough. It was just... too big. George finished it in the end, but alas, not within 11 minutes.

Mirage Bar & Restaurant
The “Raging Bull Burger Challenge” is back at the Mirage for the third year. This one requires two people to finish the 800g prime beef Raging Bull Burger, a big side of fries and 7 bottled beers within 30 minutes. If done alone, you must do it within 40 minutes, and without the beers.
This one was impossible from the start. The burger was as big as a football. We were told it was often used as a birthday cake in the past. George had to eat this one with a knife and fork, as it was too heavy to hold up. He ended up finishing all the beef, leaving the huge piece of bread and veggie nitbits on the board. The fries were untouched and only four beers were finished.

George failed all three of the challenges, only by a margin for some of them.
