Coffee connoisseurs rejoice! On 12 October, The Coffee Academics is bringing the world’s best and most expensive coffee- the Panama Geisha to our beloved Hong Kong.

If you’re wondering how it all started, here it is. Last month, at a coffee auction held by Specialty Coffee Association of Panama, the Panama Geisha sold for no less than US$601 per pound! The Coffee Academics is happy to receive 7kg of the record-breaking coffee and is offering the exclusive 601 Experience to all coffee lovers in Hong Kong.

What is the 601 Experience?
From 13-31 October, reserve your spot online by visiting  to receive your roasted Esmeralda Geisha 601 (15g) for HK$488 or the Green Esmeralda Geisha 601 (50g) for HK$988.

This isn’t just about buying expensive coffee. This is about indulging in the whole experience- from buying, brewing and cupping to finally taking that first magnificent sip. After securing your spot online, you will decide how you want your 601 Experience to be. Choose between meeting with one of the skilled coffee brewers who will brew the 601 according to your preference, or brew the 601 yourself with the available equipment or simply take the precious beans back home. You will also learn how to roast the 601 and cup it with the help of an experienced cupper.

It doesn’t end there. The Coffee Academics will be offering two limited edition 601 Experience Kits between 12 October, 2017 and 31 March, 2018. Kit A has a wooden box with kinto, filter paper and a jar of 601 beans, while Kit B has a 601 ground candle, a t-shirt and a jar of 601 coffee beans.

If all you want to do is simply enjoy a cup of 601, head to The Coffee Academics Causeway Bay, Johnston Road, TaiKoo Shing or the Roastery Lab starting from October. But hurry! Each one of these locations will be serving only 5 cups per shop!

For a chance to have an in-depth knowledge of coffee, register by visiting and receive an exclusive supply of the most sought after coffee beans in the world for HK$988 per person.
