Dog-friendly cafes where your dog also gets to eat

We know there are a lot of dog-friendly restaurants (especially around Stanley) in the 852 but there are a few noteworthy spots that have special menus JUST for dogs. Your dog doesn't just get to wander around the restaurant, they also get to dine with you. To celebrate the lunar new year of the dog, why not take your own dog out on a lunch date to one of this lovely outdoor venues. Also, Happy Chinese New Year from the WOM Guide team!

Locofama
Locofama focuses on organic and healthy food, and that philosophy is reflected in their dog menu as well. Homemade doggie meals of chicken and broccoli, pumpkin soup and Canadian capelin are available (but you must call them in advance!). The outdoor terrace makes Locofama a lovely place for your dog to have some nap and some nom. They also host a greatly popular dog-adoption event on Sundays. 9-13 Fuk Sau Ln, Sai Wan, 2547 7668, 12:00-15:00; locofama.com

Gino’s Gelato
When walking down the sunny paths of Stanley with your dog, what better to complement your weekend walk but with ice-cream? Gino’s Gelato can solve those cravings for both you and your dog. Get a lemon sorbet for yourself, and a beef gelato for your feline buddy. Your dog will love the refreshments especially on those long hot days. Outdoor seating is also available, a paw-fect way to take your dog out on a date! Stanley Plaza, 23 Carmel Road, Stanley, 2899 0314;
Opendoor cafe + courtyard
This place is packed with dogs all the time! They're known for their doggie events and their lovely terrace of wood and fairy lights. Meet other dog-lovers here or have a cuppa together with your dog. Their super popular puppyccino is a little bowl of soy-milk for your dog to enjoy. They used to have doggie snacks as well, but not anymore, bring some over with you! Oh, and of course, they have amazing sandwiches and juices, so don't forget to treat yourself as well. Sai Ying Pun, Connaught Rd W 120, G/F, 3460 3880; opendoorcafe.hk
The Salted Pig
We loved this place. Its got that view of the harbour, the sea breeze, and a quietness that adds to the serenity of the place. Actually, the whole array of restaurants on the street of Soho East, in which The Salted Pig is located, is a great area for dogs. The Salted Pig is still one of our favourites, as it's got a strong open area for the dogs to sit near you, an amazing pork knuckle and a really friendly dog-lovin' staff. There's no specific doggie-menu in this place, but they have a nice brunch, give your doggie a cooked egg or two? Shop GB8-10,G/F,Site B,45 Tai Hong Street,
