Vegetarian restaurant Grassroots Pantry has a new summer menu

When it comes to healthy seasonal and organic food, Grassroots Pantry has got it covered. Head chef & founder Peggy Chan has been busy introducing us to some truly authentic veggie dishes to welcome in the warmer months ahead, showcasing her twenty-four-seven healthy eating options with a round-the-clock menu covering breakfast, brunch, happy hour and tea-time.

Back by popular demand are their Lemon and Chia Seed Pancakes, served up with almond condensed Milk, seasonal fruit jam and organic maple syrup guaranteed to keep you energised all morning.

For the brunch lovers out there, Grassroots Pantry has been adding an Ethiopian twist by incorporating one of the latest superfoods “teff” flour into the mix, which adds a distinctive earthy and nutty flavour to their Koji Somoed carrot crepes, and their Teff shitake gnocchi with sauteed seasonal greens, shiitake, king eryngii. maiitake, cashew béchamel and lemon-thyme pesto.

If you’re looking for a pre-dinner snack, Grassroots Pantry’s happy hour menu may well do the trick, with their feel-good BBQ popcorn “chicken” (that is actually fried hedgehog mushroom) with cashew ranch & celery slaw.
