Craving some quality beef? Here are six of the meatiest places for protein fetishists to hit this month.

Smooth texture, rich flavour, beautiful marbling and melt-in-your-mouth? KAGURA’s Mirai beef ticks all the boxes and it’s from their own farm. The whole restaurant feels like you’re stepping into a warm cottage in the middle of an icy Hokkaido winter. We recommend the assorted mirai beef rare parts yakiniku platter that features all of their best cuts including the flank and the inside skirt. Your favourite “The Whole Hog” spot is closing for ever. We’re so sad to see it go! But they’re doing their last “all-you-can-beef” party on Wednesday September 5th just before they go. It'll feature cuts of Aussie and British grass-fed beef grilled over their signature open flame. They also have a free flow option so that to brighten up your hump day. If you're looking for luxury bordering on crassness, look no further. WAGYUMAFIA have transformed the innocuous sandwich into a high-end omakase spectacle. They’re opening their Hong Kong branch sometime in September, but if you want to try it a little earlier, there’s a pop-up in Elephant Grounds, Fashion Walk Causeway Bay on 22 August. Lily & Bloom is doing a second round of their ticketed event “Steak on Stakes: North vs South.” It's billed as "a meaty battle between North American Beef and South American Beef," which sounds faintly preposterous. The event will feature De La Valley’s Argentine and Uruguayan beef and Lily & Bloom’s in-house 45-days dry aged steaks sourced from Chicago. Along with their usual spread of oysters and suckling pig, WHISK changed their semi-buffet brunch to an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring some beefy mains made-to-order and served from the kitchen. That includes their 28+ days dry-aged organic Irish beef cuts.
