#UnitedWeDine: Hong Kong's leading F&B experts join forces to encourage people to dine out
16 Mar 2020
The past 12 months have been among the toughest in living memory for Hong Kong’s globally celebrated food and beverage scene. From the 2019 pro-democracy protests to the global coronavirus pandemic, the city’s hospitality industry can’t seem to catch a break, having been dealt an unprecedented blow in a city that no longer dines out. And with the city recording its first loss in annual revenue since 2004, Hong Kong’s restaurants need our help.
To that end, WOM Guide and our parent company On Air Collective, a boutique marketing and events agency, have joined hands with the city’s leading F&B experts The Forks and Spoons and Tatler Dining Hong Kong to launch #UnitedWeDine, a city-wide restaurant campaign that encourages Hong Kong’s food lovers to dine out. With support from our friends at Tasting Kitchen, Time Out Hong Kong, Foodie and The Loop, some of the very best restaurants in town will be offering incredible promotional offers from today (16 March) until 30 April, 2020, giving you more reasons to eat out – or at least no excuses not to. There are some great prizes up for grabs, too.
#UnitedWeDine will see over 100 restaurants citywide offering limited time menus and/or dish specials at excellent prices, with participating restaurants running the proverbial gamut from casual hotspots to fine-dining institutions.
Michelin darlings joining the line-up include Amber (pitcured above), who offer a 5-course menu including unlimited Nordaq Fresh Water and 3-glass alcohol pairing for just HK$1,498+ per person; Lung King Heen, where you can enjoy a 6-course tasting menu for HK$1,380+ per person; and Ecriture, where a 4-course chef’s menu with one complimentary glass of champagne will set you back HK$1,180+.
Unmissable Michelin-recommended lunch deals include offers at Tate Dining Room, where Vicky Lau and her team will offer their new 6-course Ode to Eggs for HK$780+, with optional wine pairing from HK$480+, and Roganic, where you can enjoy a 3-course lunch for HK$280+.
#UnitedWiDine includes a range of stellar casual options, too – options in this category include Brickhouse, who are offering a 2-course weekday dinner with a signature margarita for HK$300+; Kinship, where you and a plus one can indulge in 5 shared courses of your choice for HK$398+ (per 2 persons); ThinkWine, where you can balance 3 food courses for HK$350+ with wine pairing for an additional HK$350+. For the full list of participating restaurants, head to the official #UnitedWeDine website.
