We just started a new “WOM Bites” video series!

Watch it here:

This week’s theme is #PineappleBites we looked high and low to find the best pineapple bites in Hong Kong.

Sweet and sour pork cheek @Happy Paradise
Happy Paradise’s tropical take on the Cantonese signature, the sweet and sour pork cheek is made up of tender morsels of pork cheek, roasted nuts and pineapples fried in a sweet and sour sauce and served on a festive hollow pineapple. 52–56 Staunton Street, SoHo, Central, 2816 2118;

Grilled pineapple @Buenos Aires Polo Club
Thai baby pineapple is lightly charred on the grill (it is a steakhouse after all), to bring out the juices before the fruit insides are carved out. The pineapple flesh is used to create a cream infused with fresh passion fruit. Coconut granola and pineapple granita (shaved ice) make up the foundation of the dish. The dish is finally topped with roasted cubes of pineapple and a silky coconut sorbet with toasted pistachios. 7th Floor LKF Tower, 33 Wyndham Street, Central; 2321 8681;

Sweet and sour chicken bun @Baofanji
This quirky little cafe is serving up some unique Hong Kong chicken bun. A HUGE fried chicken fillet is placed on a fresh bun with a secret sweet and sour sauce and a thick slab of fresh pineapple. The chicken is crispy on the outside and super juicy on the inside. Watch as Stephanie takes a huge bite! 254 Tung Choi St, Prince Edward;

No 135 pineapple lime @L'Eclair de Génie
Bite into one of these creamy delights for a burst of tart and sweet pineapple and lime cream. Sprinkled with crispy passion fruit toppings, this one’s a must-try for pineapple lovers. Pacific Place, 113, 88 Queensway, Admiralty, 2555 3980;
