Oktoberfest is back in Hong Kong!

Grab your beer steins and start hydratin’ because Oktoberfest is back in Hong Kong!

From now until 31 October, select German restaurants around Hong Kong will be participating in Oktoberfest with games, carnivals, great music, delicious food, amazing happy hours and of course, loads and loads of German beer.

If you’re wondering why you should bother with this festival, here it is- Oktoberfest is celebrated in honor of Prince Ludwig’s marriage to Princess Theresa von Sachsen-Hildburghausen in 1810 in Munich, Germany. Who doesn’t love celebrating love?

There will be a Day Day Flash Game Giveaway from 6 October to 20 October with fun activities and games including mini beer drinking contest, mini quizzes, eating competition, tongue twisters, chicken dance and beer puzzles. A Beer Carnival will be held on 7, 8, 14 and 15 October from 6-11pm with fun beer-themed Game Booths and Kids’ Drinking contests. A good dose of family-friendly fun!

Renowned German band Gehrenbergspatzan will be playing at various locations around Hong Kong. Refer to above image for date and time of performances. 

Delicious sharing platters are available, including Snack’s Gathering (fish fritters, prawn cakes, meatballs with okra, French fried potatoes, garlic bread), Seafood and Pasta Carnival (halibut steak, crisp roast salmon, sardines and spaghetti in tomato sauce with prawn, scallops and squid), Meet with Mighty meat (pork knuckle, australian beef strip loin, ½ French chicken and veal sausages, potato cakes and sauerkraut) and a delectable dessert made with apple crumble tarte and iced chocolate parfait.
