Best steakhouses to celebrate Father's Day in Hong Kong

Sometimes all your dad wants is a nice cut of steak and an ice-cold beer (crack open a cold one), but it’s Father’s Day so you might as well give him the best version of his ideal meal. Here are the best spots to take your dad out for steak this Father’s Day.

Buenos Aires Polo Club
WOM recommends: 12oz Black Angus rib-eye

Don’t be fooled by the name, this steakhouse is designed to look like a bar in an elite members-only polo club from times past, but despite their dozens of equine paintings and rusted trophies, it's a proper steakhouse with some proper steak. Grilled in Argentinian ‘asado’ tradition, this place has great respect for steak and steak culture. Everything from their appetisers to their starters is all only curtains to the main steak superstar. Opt for a Black Angus 12oz ribeye with a side of fries provenzal (duck fries) and their eggplant escabeche. The Butcher’s Club
WOM recommends: Big Beef Experience
For a really unique and personal experience, book a private table at The Butcher’s Club’s ‘The Secret Kitchen’, a private dining experience that hosts up to 16 people. The Secret Kitchen transports you to a 1920s-esque vintage steakhouse: silverware, mahogany walls, and leather-clad interiors. Their private dining menu includes fresh seafood, a glorious pull-apart bread (basted in beef trimmings) and their signature dry-aged beef that can be aged custom to your wishes. Their Big Beef Experience involves a 30+ days custom dry-aged certified Angus rib or shortloin of beef, trimmed, cut 2" thick, and then grilled to a perfect medium rare. Morton’s
WOM recommends: American Wagyu fillet with herbed tallow butter
If you’re looking for a nice view and some really nice steak, here’s the place to find it. Steakhouse empire Morton’s is serving a Father’s Day menu with signatures including their lobster bisque, porterhouse steak 24oz and their moreish parmesan & truffle matchstick fries. Overlooking Hong Kong’s iconic skyline, there’s no better place but from the top of the city to toast the man of the house. Keep a look out for one of their new steak options such as their American Wagyu Fillet with Herbed Tallow Butter, 7oz of the finest marbling and rich texture. WOM recommends: Eat everything, it’s all-you-can-eat

A fan of Argentinian-style steaks? Gaucho will surely meat your expectations with their amazing steak and amazing chimichurri we can’t have enough of. In celebration of Father’s Day, Gaucho is introducing an all-you-can-eat-and-drink Veuve Clicquot brunch Father’s Day brunch where all dads will be treated on the house. From 11 am to 4 pm diners can expect Argentinian delights including their mini empanadas, slow-braised back ribs, ceviche and a variety of prime-cut grass-fed Argentinian steak (Amazing marbling, juicy tender in texture and a glorious chimichurri atop). Just a tip: if your dad likes his steaks ‘blue’ raw, Argentinian steaks, in general, will always come nearly medium rare. Blue (Butcher & Meat Specialist)
WOM recommends: 45 dry-aged Rubia Gallega

Blue is lining up quite a few Father’s Day specials including a raffle of HK$2000 worth of Butcher BBQ meat and 20 first-come-first-serve vouchers for “the Strand” men’s grooming. Grand Hyatt Steakhouse
WOM recommends: 32oz Canadian Porterhouse

Grand Hyatt Steakhouse is grand, to say the least. I’m talking about a whopping 32oz kind of grand, a gigantic Canadian Porterhouse steak kind of grand. Treat your old man to one of the juiciest, fattest, butteriest steaks in the house (Tomahawk rib eye, or their Canadian AAA porterhouse) and don’t leave without trying their signature Maryland crab cakes.
